Teena is a highly motivated, analytical professional with many years of experience in Federal and state rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. She has diverse knowledge in the areas of higher education, regulatory compliance, risk management, accounting, and taxation. Before coming to Smyle and Associates, Teena served as Compliance Officer for Texas Southern University and Prairie View A&M University, and Staff Auditor for a Houston CPA firm. Her 20-year tenure as a Tax Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service has been the catalyst in providing clients with not only superior customer service but educating them in the importance of tax compliance, tax planning and tax law.

Teena received her BA in Business Administration & Management from California University of Pennsylvania and Executive MBA in Energy Finance from Texas Southern University. She is currently studying for the Enrolled Agent’s exam in order to better serve our clients. Teena lives in Houston, TX but is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and is a lifelong Steelers fan.
